Hello Kara
I am happy to submit a reference for El Dorado now Eddie.  I got him from you in August 2015. He is excellent.  I ride him out alone right off my land here in Augusta county five to six times a week and can't say enough good things.  Let me know if you want me to work on writing a reference.

Below are a couple of emails about a 3 year old black mare sold sight unseen to a lady in New York. We broke this horse to ride and put several months of riding on her before we sold her.

Hi Kara...just wanted to let you know that Libby & I just took our first ride up in the back field, and she did just wonderful!  Both her flat walk & running walk (can she ever clip along!) are delightful...like you said, very smooth.  I'm very pleased with her...you did a great job!

And after having her for a week... Hi Kara...just a quick hello from Libby & me (btw, everyone loves her name!).  I'm telling you, that little mare just amazes me...she's got a better mind than most horses two & three times her age! I've started riding her outside the ring, the past couple days...around a nearby field, and on a tractor trail down the road.  She's awesome...like you said, totally not spooky. I can't believe I've only had her for a little over a week...I just feel that mare was "tailor made" for me. I honestly don't think I could have found a more "perfect-for-me" mare!  You certainly did a wonderful job with her.  Take care...d.

Below is an e-mail about a 4 year old spotted gelding sold sight unseen to a man in Maryland. We started this horse under saddle with about 30 days of training.

Kara .. Just an update on Carbon ... he is doing great in everything .... he's more like my dog then my horse ....  we are totally bonded and his training has exceeded my expectations .... he is totally respectful and calm and always at my side and totally dependable and always quiet ... I just bought another horse (Picture of Moose last April at 3yo) who was totally abused and would not allow human touch and was always stalled (you know the show horse thing) ... well that was two weeks ago and now he is joining up and bonding with me and allows me to touch him all over and is pastured daily with Carbon ..their buds.... the good part is that I'm using the same methods used in my dog training ... where the attributes of the trained pass onto the one being trained ... so Carbon is with me in the arena when I train Moose... its like he instinctively knows and works with me .... you would have to see it .... also Carbon is the alpha horse in the relationship so that helps allot .... I am so thankful to have Carbon in my life .... Oh one more thing ... Carbon has been working with troubled  Foster Children and the comments I hear from the Foster parents makes it all worthwhile ... some of these kids wouldn't talk or smile .... well that was before Carbon touched their lives .... so as you can see and as I told you .. I love my horse!! .... How are things with you???.... vr//Brian

The email below is about a 3 year old paint gelding I trained and put about 60 days of training on and sold to a family of 4 in North Carolina.

Hi Kara,
I thought I would send you a note on how Rocky has settled in.  I have gotten that jog out of him now I just need to get a better cadence to it.  He is neck reining well most of the time unless he gets real distracted. Mike describes a good ride on him to being in a good sports car.  The speed is there when you want it but he can ride nice and smooth and slow, too.  Macey has rode him on her own a couple of times and I believe Rocky likes her best of all.  When she is in the barn he knows exactly where and when she speaks he turns to her as soon as he hears her.  He is very attentive to her.  Wyatt loves him but is still a little intimidated by him.  Oh the other big improvement is that Rocky is just about picking his feet up on voice command he needs very little pressure to pick you his feet.  Rocky has also found a play mate in the pasture he and another young gelding get to play fighting in the pasture (run and chasing each other around)  then after they get tried of it they go back to grazing right next to each other.  He is doing wonderful and we love him dearly I believe Rocky has found a lifetime home with us.
Thank you!
Patty

Below is an email about a 4 year old palomino racking horse gelding sold sight unseen to a couple in Maryland. We bought this horse as a 2 year old, trained him and rode him for 2 years before selling him. This couple has recently contacted me again and bought a second horse from us!

Kara,
Michael wanted me to write you to say Thank you, Thank you.  He and Dillon finally really clicked yesterday and he had a great time.  We have decided that when it comes time to retire Shilo for a younger horse in the future, we only want to buy one from you. You'll have to start getting one ready for us:) Maybe one of your foals?
We went on a pretty long ride yesterday. We crossed five creeks yesterday and he went straight through each one with no hesitation.  What is the deepest water you have ever walked him through?
His personality is really coming out and he is a funny, curious horse.  He rarely pins his ears now, really just when you feed.
We really want to thank you for being so honest in your advertisement of this horse. Not one thing you said about him has proved to be wrong or untrue and we really appreciate that. I have bought some real nags so I always have a little bit of doubt but I have to say, you and Ron are really great. In this area, nobody pays more than $2,000 for a horse, we don't have a great market around here. Everybody here thought we were idiots to pay 4,000.00 but I tell you, he is worth every penny. You may pay less here, but you don't get the quality either. You get something with problems or that has been standing in a field and has no socialization skills and training. That's why both times I have looked recently I have looked in Virginia. Better horses, better more honest people.
Thank you also for letting us keep in touch with questions. Takes the wonder out of why they do some of the things they do.  It's nice to know some of the history. I'd love to see pictures of him as a foal if you have any.
Well, I won't keep you. Really wanted to let you know how appreciative we are.
Christy

Below is an email about 2 horses we sold sight unseen to a lady in California. These horses were half brothers and we trained them both here and rode them for about 90 days before selling them.

Hi Kara,
The boys are great!! Chocolate, I just love the way he nickers at me in the morning and nite when I feed him.....last nite we came home from football practice, and I had left Choc in the back yard, it was his turn to nibble the green grass back there,,,,,and anyway, Cole and I sat down to do our 5th grade math that is about to kill me....and I hear this scratching noise on the kitchen window....its Chocolate,,,,checking us out!!!
Then I went out the garage to give him a horse cookie, and he came into the garage!!!!! no fooling, just walked right in waiting on his cookie!! haahahahaha,,,,he is too much.....
Dreamer is great too, as beautiful as ever, although Choco-Taco( my girlfriend has nick named him after her favorite ice cream) has gotten much taller, while California Dreamer has stayed about the same size. They both got new shoes, also and were very good boys.
Dreamer bullies Choc around at feeding time, or if they are fighting for my attention, but Choc gets along quite well with Johnny Walker Black, my other walker.....they look very similar....since my black walker is fading to dark brown quickly....the only difference is Choc's blaze, Mr Walker is solid, no white....
Hope school is going good for you, and hope you Dad is doing great too. I will send you some pics as soon as I get a computer at home and a digital camera......to busy buying horses to buy anything modern!!

Below is an email about a 4 year old palomino racking horse gelding we sold sight unseen 2 years ago to a man who runs  a "rent a horse" type of place and takes customers on 2 week long hunting trips in Colorado. This man loved this horse so much, he contacted me again last year and we sold him another horse, a 4 year old blue roan gelding. He has since contacted us AGAIN and has us on lookout for a 3rd horse to send him this spring!

Kara
Nice to hear from you, Blaze is doing just great.  I have had him on a hunting trip for the last 3 weeks and would guess we have ridden over a hundred miles at or above 9000 feet.  He has worked out nicely and is resting as I'm taking another hunting party this weekend for a week and will be going to New Mexico in November to guide for a week.  He is learning very quickly and has been a real asset to the ranch.  I'm going to start working him to pack on this next trip as that is another step in his training.  Kara all in all he has worked out great and is very willing to learn and get along with the rest of the stock.  I will be looking for another gelding in the Spring so if you have another ready, please let me know.
Thanks
Don

Below is an email about a yearling bay/white tobiano filly we sold sight unseen to a couple in Wisconsin.

Dear Kara...
We want to thank you for the wonderful service you provided us when we were looking to buy Lover Boys Shadow. Not only did you provide us with any and all information on her, you sent me pictures of her sire and dam.... and, went over and beyond to help us!   The hauler you chose was wonderful, too. Shadow is a dream...  we absolutely love her!!  She fits in at "Painted Pastures" perfectly.  We really appreciated your honesty, friendly manner, and all of your hard work.  You certainly get a high mark of recommendation from us...
Thanks again...
Sincerely,

Below is an email about a weanling filly sold to a lady in Virginia.

Kara,
I just wanted to let you know how glad I am that you had Sky's Poison Star on your website.  I went to your site in the process of looking for a black and white horse, but when I saw this filly's picture, she grabbed my heart.  I just knew this was the horse for me.  I brought her home yesterday, and after a little work in the round pen she was following me around like a puppy.  She is very intelligent and she wants to be a good girl.  I am going to call her Sky unless she decides another name is better.  I look forward to many rewarding years of companionship and leisurely rides around the farm.
Thanks again to you and Tim,
Cathy

Below is an email about a black trail gelding we sold to a local family.

Hey Kara! I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how Black Jack, Ebb's Royal Walker, is doing. Black Jack is doing GREAT and I am really enjoying him! I have put a lot of time in him and he is doing wonderful. He has an Excellent Head Set (his mouth is very tender) and a nice smooth flat walk to go with it. He is excellent on the trails!! He has tons of Stamina. He keeps you on your toes and is super fun to ride. He has a lot of potential and hopefully with time I might get to show him some at the local shows. I just wanted to say Thank You for letting us purchase a GREAT gelding!!! I really enjoy having him around and he is an excellent trail buddy!!! Talk to you later! Amanda
