Its time for our well kept secret to be revealed! This is one of our most anticipated foals of the 2009! In the winter of 2006, some friends of ours mentioned that they would like to go visit some of the fastest racking horses in the world, and watch them go in person. Rowdy Rawhide's Rocket was the first one we went to go see. On a chilly winter day in December, we loaded up in the car and headed to North Carolina to visit Sonnie and Stan Hardy, and their famous "Rocket". Rocket was no disappointment and well worth the trip to see him! Little did we know when we planned to go see Rocket, that we'd see what we saw. We knew we were going to see a fast racking horse, we'd already seen that in his videos, and while he was no disappointment in that respect, what we didn't expect to see was his beautiful extremely animated head shaking running walk. This is what sold us on breeding Whiskers to Rocket.  We've are highly anticipating the arrival of this foal, and hope that he/she will fill the footsteps of both the sire and dam in its career!

In September 2007, we attended the SHOBA Celebration Trail ride at East Fork Stables in Jamestown, TN. The caliber of single footing horses that attended this ride was unbelievable, and the speed horse exhibitions each afternoon were out of this world! We got to watch some of the most well known speed rackers in the country compete against each other while the crowd of spectators cheered them on. Below are a couple of pictures taken during the exhibtions.

This goes to show how natural these horses are in their gait, no reins or bit pressure needed to keep this horse looking good and covering lots of ground! Rowdy Rawhide is the grandsire to our upcoming foal! One of the most amazing things about this line of singlefooting horses, is that they move like this, and have this much action NATURALLY, keg shod, with a short toe! There are no artificial gimmicks or shoeing alternatives making these horses step like this!

Like father, like son! Look at these two stylish boys go! Here we have Rowdy Rawhide taking on his son, Rowdy Rawhide's Rocket, sire of our foal! We hope our 3rd generation foal will follow in the footsteps of daddy and granddaddy! These are two fancy boys here! The 2nd pic is of Rocket vs. his full sister, Rawhide's Sahara...they're movin' on!
