Consigning A Horse

Occasionally, we will take selected horses on a consignment sales basis. We have developed the following guidelines for horses that we take on consignment. If interested in having us consign your horse, you must read and agree to the following stipulations that we have compiled due to previous instances.

- Due to several owners changing their minds about selling horses after we have already gone to the expense and trouble to advertise the horse and show it to prospective buyers, we are now requiring the consignment fee to be paid in advance of us listing the horse for sale. The fee is nonrefundable should the owner decide not to sell the horse.

- The consignment fee is 15% of the original asking price of the horse. This shall include the advertising expenses as well our commission fee.

- We will arrange to show the horse to prospective buyers only if the horse is located within 15 miles of our home. For horses located greater than 15 miles from our home, the seller shall be required to show the horse to the prospective buyer. We will, however, answer all of the initial questions on the horse and handle the advertising.

- We will need several GOOD pictures of the horse from all sides. For horses located within 15 miles of our home, we will handle taking the pictures. For horses greater than 15 miles from our home, the seller shall be required to get pictures to us prior to listing the horse. Please get the horse on level ground, standing square on all four feet, head up and looking straight ahead. It is also a good idea to get pictures of the horse under saddle (if broke to ride). And if possible, a short video clip of the horse.

-We make no guarantees or promises on how quickly the horse will sell... however, we will do our best to get the horse sold as quickly as possible..
