Consigning A Horse

Occasionally, we will take selected horses on a consignment sales basis. We have developed the following guidelines for horses that we take on consignment. We do 2 different types of consignments, depending on the horse and the situation.

The first type of consignment - bring the horse to us and we will do all the work! You tell us how much money you need out of the horse, and bring the horse to us. When the horse sells, we will send you the agreed upon amount of money. We keep any amount over the agreed upon amount as our compensation for marketing expenses, conditioning the horse prior to the sale, etc. The consignor is responsible for providing hay/grain during the time that the horse is on our property, as well as covering any necessary farrier or veterinary expenses. We make no guarantees or promises on how quickly the horse will sell... however, we will do our best to get the horse sold as quickly as possible...   we do have the best luck with selling horses with the method of consignment. NOTE - WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING WELL BROKE, GAITED TRAIL GELDINGS, PREFERABLY WITH COLOR, FOR THIS TYPE OF CONSIGNMENT!

The second type of consignment - send us pictures and videos of your horse and we will advertise him/her for you, and deal with prospective buyers on the phone and over email. When someone is ready to come out and look at the horse, we will then put them in touch with you to set up a day/time for you to show the horse. The consignment fee is 15% of the original asking price of the horse. We will need several GOOD pictures of the horse from all sides. Please get the horse on level ground, standing square on all four feet, head up and looking straight ahead. It is also a good idea to get pictures of the horse under saddle (if broke to ride). And a short video clip of the horse. We make no guarantees or promises on how quickly the horse will sell... however, we will do our best to get the horse sold as quickly as possible..
