2008 Bay/White Tobiano TWH Gelding

  Checkers is a 4 year old bay/white tobiano gelding. He stands 14.3H tall and still has some growing and filling out to do. He is not registered, but is out of registered stock, his paperwork was just never sent in. He is extremely smooth gaited and great on trails. He shows lots of potential for having a great deal of speed with his gait if desired, but he will also gait slowly in a silky smooth running walk that you can sit all day and never move! He has lots of potential to be your next trail buddy, or even a field trial horse. We have shot guns off of his back and he doesn't flinch! He will ride alone or with other horses without any issues and does not get worked up if the group goes off and leaves him. He loads and hauls perfectly, both on a step up or ramp load horse trailer. He is easy to catch in the pasture and likes attention. He is the wimp in the pasture and very submissive towards the other horses. He stands well for the farrier and lets you handle him all over. He stands great for the farrier and is currently shod all the way around. He crosses creeks, logs, bridges, and mud on the trail without hesitation and has been well exposed to deer, bear, and turkey while riding. He is also well exposed to dogs, vehicles, bikes, and 4 wheelers, and does not pay attention to any of the above. He is a very sensible, level headed horse. He is sure to make someone a lifelong trail partner, as well as a barn buddy! Our 10 year old daughter has ridden him with no issues whatsoever and loves riding him, however, we don't sell any horse as kid broke, so you will have to make your own opinions as to if he would be suitable for your children.
